Bulk nitrile glove buying checklist for Australian businesses

Use a practical checklist to compare glove fit, task performance, carton pricing, documentation and ongoing supply.

A strong bulk order starts with a repeatable buying process. Box price matters, but so do failed gloves, oversupplied sizes, delivery frequency and the time your team spends changing or chasing stock.

1. Define the work and the risk

List the actual tasks, substances, tools and work zones involved. Separate routine cleaning and general handling from wet, oily, abrasive, clinical, food-contact or chemical tasks. One disposable glove may not be suitable across the entire operation.

2. Trial fit across the team

Ask a representative group to test the likely sizes and record comfort, fingertip control, cuff stress and any early tearing. Use the results to build an initial S–XXL carton mix.

3. Compare cost in use

Record how many gloves are used per worker and shift, including replacements caused by tears or poor fit. A cheaper box can cost more when failure and re-gloving increase consumption.

4. Request exact documents

For chemical, food-contact, medical, clinical or other regulated tasks, match documentation for the exact supplied product to your workplace requirements. Do not approve a glove from nitrile material or colour alone.

5. Build the supply plan

Confirm cartons per order, size split, site count, delivery postcodes, buffer stock, buying frequency and the person responsible for reordering. Include those details in the quote so the commercial response reflects real demand.
